Only 11 days to go until Valentines Day so we're busy getting lots of prep done. We'll be having a fantastic selection of top grade flowers for you to select, from classically elegant red roses through to exquisitely scented spring flowers. For every dozen red roses sold we'll be adding a finishing touch of a cute and quirky cake pop, courtesey of local bakers "A Bite Of Delight"

Our team of highly qualified florists will have a range of designs made up for you to take straight away on the day if you're popping in or you can pre order your bouquet and we can deliver it for you! So go on, make your loved one smile with a beautiful bouquet from Blooms.

Wedding season is offically underway in the shop now, so we're busy, busy, busy! The key trend for this year is romantic, cottage style flowers in shades of blue and ivory so we're using lots of gorgeous roses, peonies, delphiniums, hydrangea's and sweet pea's.

We've introduced a few new products to compliment our wedding flowers. We now stock real flower confetti which is available as rose petals, delphinium petals or mixed wild flower petals.

Our range of designer wrist corsage bracelets are ideal for anyone who is wearing a delicate outfit (e.g silk)or for someone would prefer a more contemporary look. We've got a wide selection to cater for all tastes ranging from pearls and beads through to diamates and cuffs. You can even use them as a bracelet afterwards by removing the corsage base!

As the weather can be unpredictable to say the least why not use one of our gorgeous vintage style pagoda umbrella's to keep you dry on your big day. They are available in cream or white, to hire or buy!

Prize Draw

As you know we are attending the LoveActually Wedding Fayre at Bishopstrow House next Sunday. We're going to be holding a free prize draw on the day where 3 lucky brides will win either a free bridesmaids bouquet, mother of the bride corsage or grooms butonhole. All you'll need to do is come along to our stand and fill in a simple form with your contact details and date of your wedding. We'll then draw the winning names at 4pm and contact the lucky brides. So if you or someone you know is getting married please tell them to come along. We look forward to seeing you there!

Caring for you cut flowers.

Here's a few tips on how to get the best from your cut flowers.

1 - Always put a sachet of flower food in with the water in your vase/container.
2 - Remove any foliage that will be below the water line.
3 - Cut the bottom of the stems at an angle with a sharp pair of scissors. By cutting at an angle you are giving the stem a larger surface area to take water up. Never crush them!
4 - Remove pollen from lilies as soon as the flower starts to open.
5 - Keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, draughts and radiators.
6 - Remove any faded blooms, as this will encourage others on the stem to open.
7 - Change the water at least once a week.
